Chuck heads to Oujé-Bougoumou in Eeyou Istchee to meet Elder Anna Bosum before hunting ptarmigan and fishing for walleye with Ron Simard. A detour with David Gordon and David Mianscum leads to a very successful walleye ice fishing experience. Chuck discovers a resilient Cree community that has managed to overcome the challenges of being displaced many times. The group cooks up a shore lunch of fried fish, followed by a feast of fire-cooked ptarmigan and walleye egg bannock—a first for Chuck!
