Chuck and the First Peoples' Kitchen

CHUCK'S JOURNEY

Pointe-au-chien

Monday, June 30

Chuck continues his Louisiana trip and visits Pointe-au-Chien where crabbing is their main economic activity. Fisherman Donald Dardar invites Chuck on his boat. The two of them sail the Bayou and Chuck learns about the origins of the French language in the community. The men go back through the canals with a good amount of crabs to make a great snack. Back on the land, they make fried and boiled crabs. Chuck, Donald and his wife Theresa enjoy a fresh seafood plate next to the water.
