In Edmonton, Alberta, Chuck is pleasantly surprised to see how visible Indigenous culture is. He meets Mackenzie Brown, an artist and storyteller. She takes him just outside the city to meet her mother Matricia, a medicinal plants expert. Together, they harvest a large variety of medicinal plants, which they prepare in different ways. Chuck travels back to the city and visits chef Scott Iserhoff, who just opened a new restaurant, Bernadette’s. They make seared scallops with dandelions.
