Chuck visits the nitassinan of Pessamit to meet Jean-Luc Kanape and learn about caribou preservation. Jean-Luc is a guardian of the territory that has chosen to live in isolation to take care of the caribou herds that live on these lands all year long. Chuck is learning how to be comfortable with full respect to Mother Earth. Instead of cooking caribou meat, Jean-Luc has some moose meat and they serve it in cubes topped with a smoked moose sausage.
