CHUCK'S JOURNEY

Tobique

Monday, July 14

In Tobique First Nation, Chuck and Christian Perley try their hand at salmon fly fishing. As the fishing doesn’t yield any results, the men decide to prepare a shore lunch with some bacon, baloney and a nice trout Christian has caught. Traditional artist Kisuhs Perley joins them and while they eat, Christian and Kishus tell Chuck they are sad that great salmon fishing is gone. There is a great tradition in basket making in the community and Chuck learns all about it.
